Jack Hanna live at SRU
Slippery Rock, PA. (August 21, 2015) - The University Program Board will be bringing Jack Hanna to speak to students on September 16th, 2015. The event will take place in the Morrow Field House. The doors open at 6 PM and the lecture will begin at 7 PM. He will be bringing live animals from the Columbus Zoo to enlighten students’ knowledge about different species of animals worldwide.
Jungle Jack Hanna explores the corners of the globe as one of the most respected animal ambassadors. His enthusiasm and “hands-on” approach to wildlife conservation has won him widespread acclaim as a conservationist, television personality, author and Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and the Wilds.
Recognized as America’s favorite zookeeper, Jack has made countless television appearances on shows such as Good Morning America, CBS’s The Talk, and The Late Show with David Letterman.
Jack took his infectious energy to the airwaves by creating three nationally televised programs. Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures ran for 10 years and is still currently in syndication. Most recently, the Columbus Zoo and Nationwide Insurance have partnered to sponsor the Emmy Award winning Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild and a new show on ABC, Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown.
Jack and his wife, Suzi, live in central Ohio and have three daughters and six grandchildren.
Tickets are $3 for students (with valid student ID) and $6 for the general public. Tickets for this event go on sale for students on 8/26/15 and for the public on 8/31/15. Tickets can be purchased at the Smith Student Center Info Desk.
This University Program Board event is fully planned and developed by over 100 student committee members that are dedicated to positively impacting their peers at Slippery Rock University. The committee is working persistently to promote and advertise the program via social media, word-of-mouth marketing, flyers, posters, and weekly promotions.
